The PowerEdge R860 puts four Intel Xeon Scalable processors and a very large DDR5 memory footprint into a 2U chassis. It is a scale-up machine rather than a scale-out one: the usual reasons to buy it are in-memory databases, SAP HANA style deployments, heavy OLTP and consolidating many virtual machines onto fewer licensed hosts.
Four-socket systems are built to order rather than pulled off a shelf, so AXISLINK confirms processor SKUs with four-socket support, DIMM population per channel, storage backplane and network adapters before the build starts. Each system is tested under load, the condition is written on the quotation, and we handle export documentation and freight from Hong Kong to your delivery port.
